Young Bruno -Mud Face was inspired by my amusement and enjoyment of the two Black Angus cattle we began raising as youngsters in Spring 2016. When the siblings arrived at our modest 5 acre ranch, they were like romping children playing in the mud. This time it was bentonite clay that was leftover from a well repair. I had named the male siblings, Bruno and Brutus. This painting is of Bruno with his head and face covered with dried on clay. Painted on Arches Cold Press in watercolor.
